About Me

Rory McRae – Australian registered Psychologist.
I am a Registered Psychologist with qualifications in psychology, careers development, exercise science and education. My approach to counselling is based upon developing excellent rapport with clients to make them feel comfortable and supported. It is not easy to disclose what can be sensitive and important information and you should know that you and your information will always be treated with the upmost respect.
I have successfully worked with clients to help them understand and implement strategies to improve life outcomes and my interests include:

I reside in Sydney with my family and enjoy exercising, watching sport, reading and watching movies. I have a much-loved English cocker spaniel named Sandy whom you may hear barking from time to time. She also makes the occasional guest appearance.

Rory McRae is an AHPRA registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Rory employs a diverse range of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of his clients. His methodologies include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Rory is committed to providing compassionate and effective support to help clients navigate their mental health challenges and achieve their personal goals.

Rory finds inspiration in a variety of activities and hobbies. He enjoys watching engaging TV series like “Slow Horses” on Apple TV, “Ted Lasso,” and “Bad Sisters.”

Rory lives in Sydney with his wife, two children, and their cocker spaniel, Sandy, who proudly runs the household. Outside of work, Rory enjoys staying active, watching sports, reading, and attending live comedy shows. His favourite subjects in school were PE and Sport, reflecting his lifelong passion for physical activity and wellness. At any given time, he usually has two to three books by his bed, ranging from fiction and non-fiction to self-help.
