NDIS Funding
Many people who live with disabilities seek the assistance of psychologists in order to enhance their social skills, control their behaviour, learn how to create and develop their relationships, and acquire a variety of coping methods. Finding a quality service provider who can support and assist those who have a permanent impairment can significantly raise quality of life.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-funded scheme which helps to make support more accessible for Australians living with a disability. The NDIS will fund certain types of support depending on eligible participants individual needs. It is important to check your NDIS plan to see whether you may be covered for online counselling with a psychologist.
At Positive Mind Works, we have a team of psychologists with extensive experience working with NDIS participants to help pursue their goals. We are able to work with NDIS participants who are either plan-managed or self-managed.
There is no out of pocket cost for NDIS funded appointments, as the psychology fee will simply come out of your NDIS funding.
Our NDIS appointments run for 60-minutes, and the current rate is $214.14.
We are able to Provide support to the following NDIS participants:
NDIS Plan Managed – the NDIA will fund a Plan Manager in your plan who will pay your providers on your behalf, assist you in keeping track of funds, and handle financial reporting.
Self-Managed – the NDIA gives you access to funding so you can get the services that will best help you reach your objectives.
We cannot serve NDIA managed clients since we are not a psychology provider that is registered with the NDIS.
If you wish to book with one of our psychologists, you need to be either NDIS self-managed or plan managed. If your plan is NDIA managed, you are only able to seek support from an NDIS registered practitioner.
